About this event

Raspberry Pi started out as a modest collaboration between a team at Cambridge University and industry. The original goal was to provide a response to the decline in students engaging with computer science and related STEM disciplines. After five years of Raspberry Pi in the hands of users, and over 12 million units sold it has been widely adopted by the maker, educational and industrial communities as a creative platform of choice.

This talk will follow the development of Raspberry Pi and some of the challenges we faced including its deployment for Tim Peake’s Principia mission to the International Space Station. Back on earth we will look at the application of Raspberry Pi in digital making and showcase some brilliant creations from the Raspberry Pi community.
