About this event

Catesby Tunnel is a former rail tunnel, 3000 yards long, double track and closed since 1966. Now it is set to become the world’s premier full scale vehicle testing facility. Located in the Northamptonshire countryside, the project is being developed by Aero Research Partners of which TotalSim are one of the two partners involved.

Rob Lewis will provide a lecture which will cover the technical and financial challenges the project faces, the kind of work that will be eventually undertaken in it and the reasons why wind tunnels remain an important validation tool in an increasingly digital world of simulation.

Joint lecture with the RAES and IET.
