About this event

This is a full day event, starting from Sheffield and traveling to Ripley for a site visit to Butterley Heritage Railway Centre for a tour of the signal boxes and mechanical signalling illustrating first principles of interlocking systems. The trip will then transfer to Signet Solutions for lunch and short networking opportunity. After lunch, Lecture one will detail current interlocking methods focusing on Relay and Solid State and will be presented by Signet Solutions. After a short break with further opportunity to network there will be a second lecture, provided by Atkins, discussing the future of interlocking signal control systems. The event will end at 16:30 to arrive back in Sheffield for 18:00.
