About this event

This talk is an introduction to the science of chocolate, focusing mainly on the crystallinity of cocoa butter and how it gives chocolate it's velvety taste and texture. It formed the basis for a written entry
that got to the finals of the RSC's (Royal Society of Chemistry) Chemistry World's science communication competition in 2015, and a 10-minute presentation that got to the Global Finals of the IET's PATW competition in 2016.
