Cammell Laird was founded in 1828 which is one of the most famous names in British industry. Opportunity to visit the leader in marine sector, specialising in military ship refit, commercial ship repair, shipbuilding. .

About this event

This visit will allow visitors to view the complex work that Cammell Laird undertake and will include a briefing on some of the plans for the future of the company.  The Royal Research Ship Sir David Attenborough is the first major complex commercial vessel built in the UK in over 30 years. The ship will be nearing the point where she will be “extruded” from the construction hall and being made ready for launch.

The visit will allow guests to view this prestigious project at an exciting point in her build. Visitors will see a number of vessels in dry dock undergoing major conversions/upgrades.
