Think of virtual reality (VR) and you will probably conjure up images of fantastical landscapes in a game. But VR can also be embedded to give people better understanding of the world around them...

Our speaker Nick Collier will discuss the wealth of applications of virtual reality in engineering and how best to use them.

He will explain some of the wider issues to the introduction to VR into our homes, considering factors such as child protection and ensuring that before the technology spawns into our homes that the emergency services are able to safeguard and support its introduction.

Additional information


Our presenter Nick Collier is director of the Virtual Reality Group. He has lots of experience in developing virtual reality applications for use in the engineering industry. Prior to becoming director of the Virtual Reality Group, he was a member of the senior engineering team at Eurostar International for 12 years. During this time he developed applications to further the safety of workers in the railway industry.
