Organised by the UK - Scotland:South West local network.

About this event

Smart meters are being rolled out across Great Britain at present. Energy suppliers have the challenging task of installing up to fifty million gas and electricity smart meters by 2020.  They will become a key component of the Government’s “smarter energy system” and will enable customers to manage their energy use more effectively. Energy Suppliers and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) will use information collected by smart meters to improve the services they provide to customers. Graham and Fiona will discuss the smart meter programme from both a retailer and DNO point of view. They will outline the meter technologies, the communications requirements and how the data will be used.
