About this event

About Arseniy Kuznetsov

Arseniy Kuznetsov is currently a Division Manager and a Senior Scientist at Data Storage Institute, A*STAR. He has 17 years of research experience in photonics and nanotechnology. He worked as a researcher in institutions in Russia, France and Germany for 11 years before moving to Singapore to work for A*STAR.
Dr Kuznetsov obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physics from the State University of Nizhni Novgorod, Russia. Then, he earned two doctoral degrees concurrently from two universities: PhD in Process Engineering and PhD in Laser physics, from University of Paris 13 and Institute of Applied Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences, respectively.

About his research

Dr Kuznetsov’s researches in nanophotonics, metamaterials, nanoantennas and laser-matter interaction are highly respected by peer scientists. He has published more than 50 research papers in many reputable journals such as Science, Nature Comm., Nano Lett., Adv. Mater and co-authors 10 patent applications on various modern nanophotonic technologies. His most highly cited researches are Magnetic light and Directional visible light scattering by silicon nanoparticles, having together more than 800 citations over the last 4 years. In this year’s public lecture, he presented a new concept of low-loss dielectric nanoantennas for real-life devices via nanofabrication procedures.
