Mobile technology has been greatly evolving not just in terms of connecting billions of people, but also in terms of offering sophisticated services and applications for the cell phone users. The evolving systems have not only been growing rapidly, but have had tremendous impact on establishing social and economic empowerment not such to the individual, but also to the wider community.
    
The development of future technologies, such as the Cloud, IoT and 5G are envisaged to assist in the realisation of smarter homes and cities; influencing diverse sectors, like digital health, public safety, security and transport systems.
     
Through end-to-end methodology, Nokia believes that future technologies are expected to bridge the unconnected, increase reliability, efficiency and productivity, thereby creating shared value services and driving the future economy. Nokia team are researching towards a more connected world of 5G technology, Internet of Things, Cloud, Virtual and Augmented Reality, with smart technology solutions capable of solving everyday problems leading to greater economic sustainability. Nokia believes that their technology, complemented with IoT, has the capability of interconnecting people and trillions of things and services, thereby, contributing to all 17 of the UN Sustainability Development Goals. 
     
The company expects to see a massive transformation in the technology and networks, which shall connect the unconnected in diverse ways than ever before. With the upcoming rollout of 5G and Cloud services, people will have more access to data, services, with the knowledge and awareness of exactly when it’s required, assisting them to become more efficient in their private and professional lives.
