About this event

Drawing primarily on the experience of working on Sydney Trains evaluation and subsequent adoption of the European Train Control System (ETCS), the importance of Human Factors (HF) integration on in-cab signalling projects will be discussed.  Outlining the approach taken to consider how to adapt a proven off the shelf system, Todd will highlight the many HF issues that need to be considered.  Touching on issues such as how HF considerations may impact the design and implementation strategy of in-cab signalling projects, the presentation will discuss typical HF issues and impact areas, suggested approaches, and key lessons learnt – both from a technical HF integration perspective as well as the overall approach to HF in the project lifecycle.
