Staying safe and secure online is a challenge. 
Have you thought about your security and safety online? 
Do you practice good cyber hygiene? 
So what are the risks and what steps can you take to mitigate them? 

Hugh Boyes, the IET's Cyber Security Lead,  will talk about some of the threats to your online privacy, security and safety. He will explain steps that you can take to protect yourself and your personal IT equipment. He will also provide some advice on how to minimise the electronic footprints you leave as you browse the Internet.

Hugh is a Principal Fellow in the Cyber Security Centre in WMG at the University of Warwick. His research interest relate to cyber-physical systems, i.e. the systems in the infrastructure around us, the embedded and increasingly autonomous systems that we encounter on a daily basis. 

If you are interested in cyber security as a possible career, he will also explain some of the job roles available. They cover a wide range of skills and disciplines, both technical and non-technical.
