About this event

The talk will outline the history of this lost route to the sea and the restoration that the Wey and Arun Canal trust has achieved in the past 40 years.

The currently navigable section of the Wey and Arun Canal is landlocked and all the locks require back pumps, electricity supplies and control systems to recycle the limited water that can be abstracted from two local rivers.
