Commissioned in 1996, Connah's Quay is our largest combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station. The station has four single shaft units, each with a capacity of 330MW giving Connah's Quay an overall generation capacity of 1420MW- enough to power half of Wales. This intrusive visit will introduce you to the workings of a modern Power Station and how efficiency is managed with surplus resources redirection. The tour will be to look at the inside of the generation process, the initial distribution and monitoring processes.

Safety is critical and visitors are asked to observe safety wear and procedures.

Places are limited to 30 and no photographs can be taken.

Arrive at 10:00 and report to the Reception Area. Visit will commence at 10:30 and will last around two hours.
