This year there are some very exciting sessions being run, alongside the usual proferred talks and workshops we have:

Woolmer lecture: We are pleased to announce that this year's Woolmer Lecture will be given by Professor David Keating of the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, and the title of his presentation will be Medical Physics: A Gateway to Innovation. The Woolmer lecture is dedicated to the contribution that Professor Ronald Woolmer made to the formation of a multidisciplinary approach to biomedical engineering.

IQ Works drop in clinic: IQWorks is a project to provide Medical Physicists with automated image analysis software for use with DICOM test images, such as CT, mammography and digital radiography. This session on Sunday is your chance to speak with the author Andrew Reilly and get his advice on solving any problems you might have.

Update sessions: There will be a chance to hear an overview of some of IPEM’s most popular one day meetings. There will be summaries of the RPA, MPE, and RWA update meetings held in July, there will also be a session on RWA 2000.

Biennial Radiotherapy Meeting: This year there is a full two days of sessions relating to radiotherapy, including a focus on planning alongside sessions on Brachytherapy and Quality control.
