About this event

The last couple of years have seen the launch of several new electric vehicles from major manufacturers and with 1 in 10 new registrations in 2020 forecast to be electric.  There will be a significant increase in demand on the electricity network from the national grid down to the local distribution system.

David's talk, he is an IET Member, will cover some of the history and current state of the art in electric vehicles, the recharging infrastructure and looks at the potential impact on the grid and how the great increase in demand can be managed. It is also planned to have some electric cars on display and for inspection.

11.00am - Talk, followed by optional lunch

Cost
