About this event

The events at the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power plant following the major earthquake and tsunami in March 2011 made world news.  Reactors lost cooling for many hours and overheated.  Large quantities of radioactive material were released as workers fought to regain control.  Both the technical and socio-political issues of these events will be discussed.
