The supply of illegal, counterfeited cables into the UK and EU market has been a significant problem in recent years. At the very least, this can cost contractors and clients large costs for replacement and retro-fitting. In the worst cases, it can cause fires, toxic fumes and present a lethal risk to building users.  This lecture by a cable industry expert is a guide to the Approved Cables Initiative (ACI) and how to tackle the problem of counterfeited sub-standard cable products. .
