Additional information

Mahesha Suriarachchi is an Associate at IBI Group (UK). Mahesha has a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a MSc in Telecommunication Engineering. Mahesha has over 18 years experience in the application of ITS solutions, in particular in Road User Charging Systems and associated services such as Road Tolling, HOV/HOT, Congestion Management, Violation Enforcement and Customer Service Operations. With his strong engineering background, Mahesha is able to provide both advisory and systems delivery services to clients. His project experience includes public and private sector clients in the UK, North America, Europe and Asia. Working with IBI Group, Mahesha has worked on a number of tolling projects here in the UK as well overseas. He has been the technical lead on IBI’s commissions with the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry, the Humber Bridge Board, the Halton Borough Council / Mersey Gateway and the National Road Authority (Ireland). Mahesha has also worked on a number of IBI toll system projects in Greece, in particular the Attiki Odos project, India and North America. Mahesha is a regular speaker at industry conferences and has published a number of conference papers. He is an active member of the ITS (UK) Road User Charging Interest Group, the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Charted Institute of Highways and Transportation.
