About this event

Talk by Prof. Derek P Atherton, University of Sussex.

The paper presents some experiences of working in control engineering for almost 60 years. From research at Manchester in 1956 it reflects on the changes in education and research, publications, simulation and computation, and some of the technological achievements in control implementation from PID controllers to speed and position control.

The event is free to attend and is open to both IET members and non-IET members.
