Ken Murray (National Grid)The UK is in a period of transition as its electricity generation portfolio moves towards a renewable and nuclear base. This has implications for the nation's transmission network which must be developed to accommodate these new sources of generation, which are often located in remote areas. In the South West particular challenges of engineering, politics and community arise, will be discussed
