Joint Event.

About this event

The UK is expecting to meet 30% of its renewable target from biomass by 2020, but there is considerable debate on the true CO2 cost of biomass power generation. Dr Gallagher will present his views on the role of biomass systems.

This lecture will also provide an insight into the experience gained from the design, installation, monitoring and project management of biomass heat and power systems. Examples range from overseeing the installation of a 6MW plant at Newbridge in South Wales, involvement with Western Wood Energy's 14MWe power plant along with smaller scale systems.
