About this event

“Talking to the CEO/CIO Series” is ECS' annual flagship event, where we have casual talks with company CEOs related to the telecom & electronics field in a cosy atmosphere.  This year we have invited Mr. Jason Chiu, CEO of Cherrypicks, the founder of a Hong Kong-based smart phone /mobile applications development company which has won the “Computer World Hong Kong Awards 2012 Technology Company of the Year” and the “Best Business (Application) Gold Award in the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2012”, and most recently, the “World Summit Award – mobile Global Champion 2013” and “Best Innovation and Research Grand Award in the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2013”. 

Jason is a young entrepreneur, and is an example of how an engineer can establish his own company, ride through the tides of the IT bubble, financial crisis and SARS, and become the CEO of a successful mobile apps company which has now grown to have regional offices in the Asia Pacific Region.  In the Talk, Jason will share with us his experience in building up his business, his critical success factors and how to overcome challenges encountered in the past years, and also insights in the telecommunications field.
