About this event

An important goal of IET YMS HK is heightening public awareness of renewable energy and the important role it will play in our lives and those of our children. To this, we have organised a technical visit to the exhibition centre at Lamma Wind Power Station that provides a wealth of information on the nature of wind and other sources of renewable energy, their benefits and limitations, and examples of their applications worldwide.

At the exhibition centre, visitors can see real-time data on the performance of the wind turbine, including its wind velocity, power output, total amounts of electricity generated and carbon dioxide reduced to date. We hope that by visiting the wind power station, IET members will gain an appreciation of renewable energy and its environmental benefits.
