About this event

A potted history of the Cold War stalwart, as mentioned in Tom Clancy's novel, and the latest miniaturised variants being developed for military and commercial applications. The talk will cover the basics of sonar, towed arrays during the Cold War, and how technology has advanced over the last 15 years - culminating in a demonstration.
