About this event

Concorde is perhaps one of the most recognisable civilian aircraft ever to have flown. It's history is inextricably linked with Bristol. This lecture will recount the history of Concorde's development and touch upon the future of Concorde 216 (G-BAOF), which first flew from Filton Airfield in 1979, returning in November 2003 as the last ever flight of a Concorde.

About the Speaker

Duncan Greenman spent 40 years working for the Filton Aerospace companies as a Flight Test Engineer (Concorde) and as a wing design and propulsion installation specialist. He has also spent time as a visiting Professor at local universities.

He is an expert on transport and aviation history and was recently appointed as a director for the new Bristol Aerospace Centre. He also maintains a large archive relating to the Bristol aerospace industry, the Bristol Airchive.

Duncan continues to work in industrial liaison between educational institutes and the aerospace industry.
