About this event

This seminar will cover the design, technological innovation and operational challenges assocaited with powering a data centre.  The seminar will be broken into three lectures: Mike Hastings of Arup will provide a background to the typical power topologies used, Kevin Ricketts of Schneider will provide an insight into the latest innovations in data centre technology and Chris Williams of Next Generation Data, Newport will provide a client's viewon the challenges of operating a data centre.

Background to Speakers: Mike Hastings is an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer with vast global experience of data centre electrical design for a wide range of blue chip clients as a key member of the Arup Data Centre Team; Kevin Ricketts is a CFW Business Development Manager at Schneider Electric focusing on the Data Centre Industry with knowledge of the latest innovations in data centre power products; Chris Wiliams is a Business Director responsible for new business development and large account management for Next Generation Data, Newport which is the largest Data Centre Campus in Europe with an incoming supply capacity of 90MW and a 750,000 sqft main building.
