About this event

The IET Present Around The World (PATW) competition is held annually for young engineers and technicians including students, recent graduates, apprentices and young professionals aged between 18 and 26. Individual competitors give a pre-prepared 10 minute presentation on an engineering or technology subject of their choice followed by 5 minutes of Q&A from you, the audience. Each entry is scored by a panel of judges.

The competition is structured as four heats:

  • Area Finals e.g. South East, South West...
  • Regional Final e.g. UK...
  • Global Final
