About this event

The TV programmes ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and the ‘X Factor’ are amongst the most popular of current TV programmes, drawing audiences of millions! A major factor of their great success is the stunning lighting techniques and dramatic effects.

We are extremely fortunate that Francesco Anselmo, Senior Lighting Designer with Arup, London, the renowned independent global firm of consulting engineers and designers, has agreed to tell us all about the design and implementation of the lighting for these top-notch shows.

The talk is to be given at The Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, a new venue for our daytime talks. Parking and disabled facilities are available. The Dunkenhalgh is easily accessible from Exit 7 of the M65 Blackburn/Burnley Motorway.

Additional information

A cup of tea/coffee will be available on arrival from 10.30 am and the talk will commence at 11.00 am. This will be followed by an optional 3-course lunch, costing £20.

All members, their partners and guests, are very welcome.

Prior booking is essential and early application is advised as this is expected to be a very popular event.
