About this event

Tinnitus, or ringing in the ear, is a common and debilitating condition.

This talk will look at reverse engineering of the cochlea and vestibular system from the perspective of an RF engineer. The cochlea amplifier is a positive feedback mechanism that helps us perceive sounds as well as telling us where to run to avoid predators – when components start to wear out, tinnitus can result.

Talk given by

Peter Hampton, retired Physics teacher and RF Consultant
