About this event

Steve Miller is a chartered engineer with a degree in Instrumentation and Control from the University of Wales. With a career spanning 30years, predominately in the Oil and Gas industry, Steve has worked for; British Gas, Transco, National Grid, BG Group,  and Amec.  He is currently the Deputy Operations Manager and Plant Engineer at Dragon LNG.
One of Steve’s papers,  on Computer control of pressures in distribution networks  in British Gas, won an Institute of Gas Engineers’ Gold medal for the best paper.

Steve's lecture will cover the following areas:
  • LNG History in the UK -from peak shaving to  importation
  • Operation of an LNG terminal
  • LNG – the future
