About this event

This presentation will review how Wiltshire Council developed its business case to establish the Wiltshire Online programme and how the objective of providing superfast broadband is being achieved. See www.wiltshire.gov.uk/wiltshireonline

This programme is made up of three themes: The Digital Literacy theme with its associated volunteer programme to support individuals and SMEs to get online and make best use of web-based resources.

The Access to Online Services theme with its objective of improving the take-up and use of local and national government’s online services.

The Connectivity and Provision theme where the principal aim is to improve the availability of superfast broadband across Wiltshire and its partners, Swindon and South Gloucestershire. 

The presentation will examine network deployment and the types of technology being deployed.
