About this event

Ditherington Flax Mill was completed in 1797 and is considered the“granfather of skyscrapers” due to its five-story construction. The buildingis derelict but was given grade I listing status in the 1950s and is currentlyowned by English Heritage. The presentation will discuss the innovationdisplayed in the worlds oldest iron-framed building and the challenge thatit's redevelopment presents.
