Speak at an IET event

Speaking at an IET event highlights the speaker as a true leader in the field.

Why speak at an IET event?

When there are so many Engineering and technology orientated conferences and seminars out there, why do so many of the world’s leading experts choose to speak at IET events?

It is a great experience!

Working with the IET on a live event is a great way to add extra value to your CV – the IET works with organisations both large and small, and across all engineering sectors. If you have a story to tell, the IETs members would like to hear it, regardless of your experience to date.

Are you a seasoned speaker?

Give something back to the Engineers of tomorrow…The IET is a registered charity and reworks all surpluses generated back into the Engineering community, rather than commercial stakeholders.

Be a thought leader…

The IET traditionally selects cutting edge and ‘over the horizon’ themes for its live events - if you are working at the forefront of an area of research and want to place yourself or your organisation in a commanding position before the subject gets picked up by the ‘mainstream’, contact us (see below) to tell us more!

It’s great PR for you – and your organisation

The IET has over 150,000 members in 127 countries – our marketing campaigns ensure that our speakers gain coverage across all these territories – and our post event video feeds will ensure that your presentations can be viewed by IET members across the globe.

Are you looking to be published?

Make sure you search the IETs events for our ‘call for paper’ range – presenting at an IET Call for Papers conference will ensure your research will be published and made available to the world’s leading research scientists and engineers. In addition to being able to present your research as either an oral paper or poster, all successful authors will:

  • Have their final paper published in the official conference proceedings
  • Have their paper indexed on IEEE Xplore
  • Have their paper published on the IET Digital Library
  • Have their paper indexed by IET Inspec
  • The IET may also, with the permission of the author, film the presentation for publication on IET.tv
