About this event

This year's IET Apprenticeship Conference will provide an opportunity to find out more about the similarities and differences of apprenticeship provision across the four UK nations. This will be followed by a panel discussion, during which the attendees will have an opportunity to ask the panel members questions.

During the afternoon session we will hear from a representative from a national Career Service about the advice they provide to schools to help them support their pupils in deciding their career path, and whether more has been done in recent years to promote apprenticeships alongside academic routes into engineering.

There will also be presentations about some of the resources of the IET and how the IET can help support an organisation's delivery of career development and training.

There will be opportunities before and during the event to network with other attendees.

The main themes of this year's event are:

  • A comparison of apprenticeship provision across the four nations of the UK
  • Apprenticeships and schools career advice
