About this event

The event will offer examples of healthcare technologies and how they could improve patient care., and will also feature suggestions for how we might achieve an ‘ideal scenario’ under which the potential of technology is fully realised in helping to meet the objectives of the NHS.

This event will set out to build a better understanding of what determines whether and how technology is adopted in the NHS, and how barriers to adoption and uptake could be overcome.

The “Bringing Innovation into the NHS” evening event will offer examples of health care technologies and how they could improve patient care. We will also make a number of suggestions for how we might achieve an ‘ideal scenario’ under which the potential of technology is fully realised in helping to meet the objectives of the NHS.

  • Are you are someone that seeks to sell and introduce technology into the NHS?
  • Are you someone who has a some general knowledge of the process but seeks to share their personal challenges in understanding how the NHS works?

This will allow you to connect and build on your functional understanding and expand your knowledge.

The outputs from this gathering will be disseminated via the IET’s online channels such as IET.TV, and feed into a flagship event to be held in 2019 themed around ‘Future Leaders in Healthcare’.

Robotic systems are perhaps at their most valuable when carrying out tasks that would otherwise put humans in danger. In some cases they give us visibility or enable operations in environments so extreme humans could not even wilfully venture - space, nuclear and deep subsea.
