About this event

Located to the North East of the Naval City of Portsmouth, the site has played a major role in the development of the UK's space capabilities since the 60s. Its 1000 staff are involved in the design, build and test of:
- Advanced payloads for mobile and military communications satellites
- World leading Earth observation payloads with advanced spaceborne radars
- Sensors and scientific instruments such as the microwave humidity sounder
- Payloads for the Galileo navigation system satellites.


The visit will comprise of a site presentation which gives an overview of Airbus Defence & Space and the sites in the UK and what happens where.
The party will be split into two groups, one group will then visit AIT Viewing Gallery and the other Manufacturing and then swap over.
Then back to the main conference room for questions and a wrap up session.
