About this event

Cryogenic energy storage works by using electricity to liquefy the air, storing the cryogenic liquid, and recovering the energy when needed by expanding the vaporised gas through a turbine or reciprocating engine. The seminar will discuss how the technology, which is being developed primarily in the UK, could play a role in a future energy system, including the importance of policy.
