About this event

This lecture will outline the Horizon Nuclear Power and Menter Newydd Joint Venture project at Wylfa Newydd Nuclear Power Station on Anglesey.

To deliver a cost effective nuclear power station to provide 2.6GW of electricity to the UK National Grid, with the use of proven Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR) technology.

The UK ABWR is currently at Step 4 of the Office of Nuclear Regulation’s Generic Design Assessment (GDA) process, assessing the suitability of the design for use in the UK.
