About this event

Particle Accelerator

The Particle Accelerator Engineering Network is a unique combination of engineers, technicians, scientists and academics involved in the fascinating world of particle accelerators. This event is the ideal networking forum for specialists from Industry, Academia and the National Labs. By attending this event, you will be among those that have contributed to growing our understanding of the world that we live in through projects such as the Large Hadron Collider, and through the development of the UK's large scale accelerator facilities at ISIS and Diamond. Healthcare and security applications of particle accelerators are also discussed.

The Particle Accelerator Engineering Network is supported by the following institutions:

  • The Institution of Engineering and Technology
  • The Institution of Mechanical Engineers
  • The Institute of Physics

When registering for this event, please take note that day one is a workshop whereas day two is a full day conference. If you would like to register for both days, you will need to register through the two separate links below.

Day One:

This half-day of beginners level lectures on the engineering of particle accelerators will take a closer look at RF systems, electrical systems and mechanical systems.

This workshop is aimed at apprentices, HNC/D level technicians and degree level engineers from any discipline new to the field of particle accelerators.
