The Renewable Energy Association is holding the REA Planning Conference on Thursday, 18th April 2013 at SJ Berwin’s London office, 10 Queen Street Place, London, EC4R 1BE.

The Planning Conference will provide an update and forum for debate on the UK Government’s ongoing  reform of the planning system in the context of delivering growth and energy security for the future.

The Conference will be hearing from Government; local councils; renewable developers and infrastructure providers; planning organisations and planning lawyers and will look at 3 key areas:

  • Government priorities – balancing economic and infrastructure growth; energy security and climate change; and localism
  • Local government’s role in implementing planning reform and encouraging sustainable development
  • Delivering renewable energy,  the current reality and what more needs to be done

The Conference will conclude with a discussion from key planning lawyers on how case law is relevant to the project developer community.
