About this event

by Andrew Wheen

The invention of the electric telegraph paved the way for telephone networks which, in turn, laid the foundations for today’s Internet, the largest and most complex machine in the world.  Who were the key players and what were the inventions that shaped modern communications? What is coming next?  This talk will attempt to answer these and many other questions, bringing to life the characters and their times.
