Please note this visit has been rescheduled to Wednesday 06 March 2013. 

Technical visit of Hunterston B power station in North Ayrshire. Visit will include a presentation of how the station generates electricity, including details of how the reactor works, and a guided tour around the reactor and turbine halls via the visitor's observation decks.


This event is organised by The IET Scotland South West Young Professionals.


A coach will take those registered to and from Hunterston B Power station, and will leave promptly at 12:15 outside the Royal College Building, Strathclyde University. 

The return coach should arrive back outside the Royal College Building, Strathclyde University at 16:30. 

Registration information

Registration closes on the 30 January 2013, prior registration is required.

Please note you will need to bring a valid passport or driving license with you on the day of the visit.
