About this event

Speaker

Mike Murphy

The talk considers his background, and early professional association with his remarkable father, Sir Mark Brunel. His major projects will be examined, and consideration given to those endeavours where he was not wholly successful. The talk will also cover such matters as his competence in dealing with the appropriate authorities when a case had to be made. What will also be taken into account is how this most unusual man drove himself to an early death. Do the opinions of his contemporaries provide any insights into his uniqueness?
