Over 200 amateur rocketeers in the UK build increasingly complex and powerful rockets travelling ever higher and faster with electronics bays, payload compartments, composite propellants and optimized structures. 

This lecture reflects a decade long journey through some of the challenges presented and the technology employed, and describes a world-wide movement whose activities are officially recognised.
