    The civilian use of UAVs is receiving increasing attention and is now seen as a huge potential growth area. Applications are foreseen in diverse areas including agriculture, environmental and atmospheric sensing, emergency and disaster management or police surveillance.

    However, the safe operation of UAVs in a non-segregated space, especially autonomously, presents a number of significant challenges.

    This IET seminar will provide a single forum for the discussion of regulatory and practical issues related to all interested in the research, design and use of UAV technology in the civilian sector.
