    The Project Controls Technical and Professional Network, present an Interactive master class on Project Disasters.

    This will cover:

    • The impact of Project Disasters on all of us, within the community
    • A facilitated discussion to understand the cause of failures that lead to Project Disasters
    • A presentation on why project disasters occur, even though the causes are generally well known (the known, unknowns!)
    • An overview of how to achieve success and avoid Project Disasters

    Alec Ray, FACostE, MAACE, MPMI,MAPM, DIF


    Alec is a past President of the Association of Cost Engineers, and currently International Chairman. He has served the Association of Cost Engineers in various positions in the past, including Chairman of the Southern Region, and served on several committee’s including those for Seminars, Certification, Marketing and International Congresses. He is past Vice-Chairman, of the International Cost Engineering Council (ICEC), and is currently Deputy Director of the European Region of ICEC. In 2008 at the ICEC International Congress in Toronto, he was presented with the Distinguished International Fellow Award.


    He has spent his career in the Oil and Gas Industry, first with ConocoPhillps where he was involved in various senior positions in Project Controls and was Project Management Systems Director. Until recently he worked with ENI/AgipKCO on Project Management Systems, and was previously Head of Quality, Risk and Value Management. He is currently a Project Management/Project Controls Consultant, and is a Director of TASC
