The Partnership between the IET and the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) is pleased to offer an insight in to recent standards in the Lifts and Escalator sectors. The event offers the delegates the opportunities to be briefed and pose questions to the authors and contributors on the following new standards:
- EN81-20 Passenger and goods passenger lifts
- BS6440: 2011 “Powered vertical lifting platforms having non-enclosed or partially enclosed lift ways intended for use by persons with impaired mobility – Specification
- BS7801: 2011 “Code of practice for safe working on escalators and moving walks
- BS5655-6 “Code of practice for the selection, installation and location of new lifts.
