The afternoon technical discussion sessions, held at IET Birmingham: Austin Court, are designed to explore the impact that increased renewable generation will have on the volatility of the price of electricity and the generation output, whilst also exploring the prospects that smart grids and smart appliances (especially the emergence of electric vehicles) could have to help or hinder the market development.

The sessions will be introduced by the topic leader and then opened up to the room for further discussion.

Further information on the four discussion topics can be found in the Technical discussion sessions - programme [PDF] on the top right hand side of this page.
