About this seminar
Communication technology for intelligent transport systems have been developed a considerable amount in recent years. As this exciting technology develops further the IET feels privileged to be organising its first event focusing on recent research findings from industry and academia. We will also have the opportunity to have an update on the various TSB projects throughout the UK.
The event will focus on some key areas that are effecting the UK’s road networks; traffic congestion, informed personal travel and car-to-car communication being the highlight.
The IET’s Communications Technology for Intelligent Transport Systems event programme is a one day seminar, featuring dynamic sessions focused on many of the current topics facing the Communication and Transport sectors.
Aims of the seminar:
- The role of the mobile phone in tomorrow’s transport systems and services
- Car-to-car communications and the implications to Active Traffic Management (ATM)
- Technology to enable informed personal travel
- Cross-border issues for Telematic systems
- Reducing congestion via ICT
