About this event

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) and compatibility (EMC) are a major concern for any high power electrical sector employing power electronics with switching devices and microelectronics.

Railways are by their very nature complex systems featuring multiple electronic devices, all of which may operate on competing frequencies or generate electromagnetic fields that could interfere with one another. With this in mind there are huge safety implications…

  • This seminar has been designed to give delegates an opportunity to update their knowledge of the latest developments in Rail EMC regulations and best practice,
  • In addition, the seminar will begin with an introduction to the subject so that the seminar is not exclusive to experts. Experts, in turn, will have the opportunity to help novices in an open format discussion session. Delegates will also enjoy the opportunity to network with their peers.
  • Wherever possible, real life case studies by EMC experts will be used to illustrate cutting edge solutions, giving both experts and those new to the area vital contextual information, which will lend the seminar a practical air.
